The search

for optimal mental
and physical health

Here I share my journey back to health and the research to back it all up.

Hi, I'm Susanna

I have left a career in statistics and research to follow my passion: psychology.

Once I have started this studies when I was 18, and switched to statistics soon after.
Now, in my mid-thirties, I realise my heart lies elsewhere.

I have a vision, one of optimal physical and mental health,
and I am on the path to find it.

Healing

It took a long path for me to realise that I needed to change my thinking, my life, to re-find health. I have a long list of medical and mental issues that I heal from every day.

I have searched for inspiration in medical science, psychology, nutrition, physical sciences and spirituality.  Every day I find healing in little things.

To find authenticity I had to re-learn to trust my feelings and gut.

After a year of studying medical psychology at Tilburg University,
I now continue my studies at the Open University.
I am currently interning at a mental health care facility.
I also assist Susan Dechering.
She is an intuitive psychologist who has helped many people to go back to their authentic self.
She has helped me.
And now I get to train with her to help others.

I also have a passion for dancing salsa.
And I find joy in hiking with my camera, taking pictures of birds.

On this website I will share my experiences in my blog.
I will share my journey back to health.
And share the research to back it all up.

The search for optimal mental and physical health

My mission

I aim to share current and groundbreaking scientific research on mental and physical health and how a biopsychosocial view on life contributes to health.

Scientific findings from many fields of study will be considered, such as:

  • psychology
  • medical science
  • spirituality
  • nutrition
  • sleep
  • etc.

Additionally personal experiences will be shared via my blog.
